Example Itinerary:
Day 0: Touch down in Anchorage and settle into your local accommodation. Arriving a day early ensures you won't miss the early morning flights to the lodge.
Day 1: Depart from Merrill Field Airstrip to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. Get settled in before we spend the afternoon and evening capturing stunning bear moments.
Days 2-6: Immerse yourself in the world of bears! Daily fly-outs take you to various locations for extended photography sessions, ensuring a rich experience.
Day 7: Delight in a hearty breakfast and savor bear sightings at the lodge before heading back to Anchorage with memory cards full of unforgettable moments.

There are limited single rooms available. We will do everything we can to ensure guests have the room accomodations of their preference. Please discuss your request with us upon registration.

Getting to King Salmon is simple!
Alaska Airlines flies to King Salmon multiple times each day. Upon signing up, you will be provided with information on which flight times to choose on your arrival and departure dates.
You can either book a flight all the way from your departure city to King Salmon or choose to overnight in Anchorage. This would require booking a separate flight from Anchorage to King Salmon.

Absoluely! We have many people join our trips who want to come and enjoy this incredible experience. Guests are welcome to join us on our excursions each day or kick back at our comfortable lodge while admiring the view.
All guests are responsible for full tour tuition regardless of whether or not they are a photographer.

You will have high speed internet access while at the lodge.

Beer, wine, and limited types of liquor are provided by the lodge.

All guest room have private, en suite bathrooms.

Physical difficulty of this workshop is moderate to high.
Guests need to be physical fit, sure footed, and able to hike. The mileage each day varies, but guests should be prepared to hike 5-6 miles over the course of the day.
We will be wearing waders for all our bear excursions as we will be crossing streams and walking through water.
Be prepared to spend long days in the field.
